Hello Postpartum: Podcast on Advocating for & Supporting Working Parents

I had such an inspiring and empowering conversation with my friends at Hello Postpartum about working motherhood --- check it out here!

Listen in as a former attorney and current mental health therapist Lauren Tetenbaum discusses how to stand up for yourself and your rights as a mother in the workplace. It’s empowering, inspiring, and just what working mothers need to hear.

We talked about how workplace policies can set up moms to fail, but it doesn't have to be that way -- with the right resources and community, you can make positive change. It's so important to parent out loud at the workplace and bring your whole humanity to work. Employers should listen to what employees want in order to keep working parents in the workforce. There is a lot of work to be done, but we can do it together! You are not alone; know your rights and don't be afraid to advocate for yourself and for future generations. Please reach out if you need support.

Lauren A. Tetenbaum, LMSW, JD, PMH-C works with parents, aspiring parents, millennials, young adults, and teens. She is intensively trained in perinatal mental health and is passionate about supporting and advocating for working parents.
