Chat for Charity: Advocating for Family-Friendly Workplace Policies with I AM More

In June 2021, I hosted a “chat for charity” mingling & shopping event to benefit The Mom Project. With the support of local women’s boutique, I AM More, we raised over $1,000 for RISE, the scholarship program committed to accelerating equity for moms of color.

Co-speakers Julie Leffell (Working Parent Coach) and Allyson Bronner (Head of Family Advocacy at Morgan Stanley) and I bonded with several dozen moms at various stages of their careers and discussed strategies to advocate for family-friendly workplace policies. We enjoyed snacks and drinks from Scarsdale restaurant Popojito and shopped for gorgeous items like Sara Joy’s beachwear accessories.

It was an honor to support each other as we supported other working moms! (And my daughter came too!)
