Corporate Workshop at Scotiabank on Gender Equity in the Home

..."seize opportunities at home" -- I noticed this phrase as I walked into the presentation I was giving to lawyers & bankers on achieving gender equity in the home. We need gender equity at home so that we can achieve it at work and in society. We need flexibility as working parents, paid leave for all caregivers, and for workplaces to recognize their employees as full humans. We need to keep talking about these issues and advocating for change.

As one participant said: "I loved the opportunity to discuss things that affect us as people, at work."

Thank you to the Scotiabank U.S. Expectant and New Moms Group & U.S. Women’s Advocacy Group for having me at this event -- I was just as inspired and empowered as the guests!
